Course overview
Aim
Following the journey of the DateWiz apprentice you will learn:

What is a DateWiz?

What are the basic skills of a DateWiz and how to find them on the Ancient Encantus that reveal secret spells?

How to follow the Rhythm of Time?
-
How to do the Celestial Balance Correction?
-
How to mix all the ingredients of the magic potion? and finally,
-
How to look into the past and see the future?
Format
This is a self-paced journey without active moderation.
You are encouraged to discuss ideas and practice DateWiz spellcasting skills with other apprentices.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Swiftly perform basic and extended addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts with emphasis on the multiplication and division tables of 4 and 7.
Accurately calculate the progression of the day of the week.
Find the number of leap years in a given period of time.
Confidently perform mental addition of up to 5 numbers of one digit in seconds.
Effectively calculate the day of the week for any given date
Course structure
This course is divided in 8 sections:
- Welcome
- What is a DateWiz?
- Read through the Ancient Encantus to reveal the magic spells.
- Feel the rhythm of time.
- Celestial Balance Correction.
- Two magic ingredients of time.
- Mix all the ingredients of the magic potion.
- Look into the past and see the future.
- Course evaluation.
Completion and assessment
To complete the course you need to have all required activities marked as complete. Some are automatically marked as completed based on specific criteria and some need to be manually marked as completed.
This course contains two summative activities: a DateWiz activity, All Months; and a Post-test quiz. You need to reach 80% in each of them in order to successfully complete the course.
