Deep Frying

submerging and frying food in very hot oil; normally within a deep fat fryer appliance


Dicing

a cutting method which results in food being shaped as small cubes


Draining

allowing water (or other liquids) to run out and off food,  separating it from the dry ingredients. This is usually achieved by using a strainer or colander

 

Dusting

the light sprinkling of a food ingredient (usually a refined sugar or flour) over another food item
