Marinating

allowing food to take on flavour by means of covering it in a sauce for a period of time, normally a few hours (e.g. braai marinade can be used as a sticky marinade on ribs)


Melting

a process heat is applied to food to change it from a solid state to a liquid state


Mincing

a cutting and chopping technique that results in uniform tiny pieces. Can be done by hand and a sharp knife or by using a food processor


Mixing

to combine, join, put together or even blend two or more food ingredients
